NOTICE OF MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE NEDERLAND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION WILL CONVENE AT 5:30 P.M. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15, 2005 AT THE NEDERLAND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OFFICE, 1903 ATLANTA AVENUE, NEDERLAND, TEXAS, FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:

1. CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER
    
2. APPROVE THE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
    
3. PUBLIC HEARING (5:30 P.M.)

   Conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving comments regarding the potential expenditure of funds for development of water and wastewater extension and a entrance drive to the proposed Candlewood Hotel & Suites located east of Sanderson's Restaurant on Highway 69 and Beauxart Garden Road.

4. INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVMENTS AND DRIVEWAY

   Discuss and take action approving the expenditure of funds for development of water and wastewater extension and a entrance drive to the proposed Candlewood Hotel & Suites located east of Sanderson's Restaurant on Highway 69 and Beauxart Garden Road.

5. PUBLIC HEARING (5:30 P.M.)

   Conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving comments regarding the potential expenditure of funds for community development for various expenditures related to the continued operation and maintenance of Nederland Economic Development Corporation properties.

6. MAINTENANCE OF NEDC PROPERTY

   Discuss and take action approving the expenditure of funds for various expenditures related to the continued operation and maintenance of the Nederland Economic Development Corporation property.

7. BUDGET 2005 - 2006

   Review and approve the 2005 - 2006 proposed budget for presentation to the Nederland City Council.

8. FINANCIAL REPORTS

   Review and discuss current financial status of the Nederland Economic Development Corporation.

9. EXECUTIVE SESSION

   The Board of Directors will announce that it will go into Executive Session, pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, to discuss matters as specifically listed on the agenda.

   Discuss acquisition, exchange, and/or release of property.
    

   Economic Development Negotiations - Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.087

   
   Discuss the offer of an incentive to a business prospect.
    

10. RECONVENE

    Reconvene into regular session and consider action, if any, on items discussed in Executive Session.

11. COMMUNICATION

    Receive comments from President, Board of Directors and Executive Director.

12. ADJOURN
